Hi! I’m Christina

As a creative writer who also works in ministry, I have a firsthand look at the challenges that come with trying to do both art and leadership well. I've been where you are, and I know the feeling of craving a deeply formed spiritual life. 

I've spent the last 8 years helping creative leaders make a positive impact—and I've learned that Christ-like courage comes not from doing more, but by resting in your identity as God’s beloved. 

My mission is to help creative leaders (like yourself) craft a sustainable creative life —without succumbing to overachievement and comparison. I created the Creative and Free Collective to help you do exactly that.

As a writer and speaker, I see it all the time—creative leaders struggling to live with resilience, because they struggle with perfectionism and failure. And I get it! The tendency to overwork can be incredibly complicated. 

I made the Collective to assist you in finding a safe and caring place to develop without feeling lonely or stressed. 

In the past 25 years, I've dedicated myself to both honing my craft and guiding with love. The Collective is my way of sharing all my knowledge so you can avoid my past errors.

  • This community is tailored for the unique needs of creative leaders who have a growing Christian faith. All experience levels are welcome. If you are a newbie artist with years of Christian ministry experience or vice versa, this is the perfect place for you! If you don’t consider yourself a creative leader, there may be a better community out there to meet your needs.

  • That depends. If you are a creative looking to deepen your relationship with God, or if you are leader wanting to engage more in the arts, then we’ve got you covered! Most artists are leaders in some sphere of life, whether they realize it or not. Also, many ministry leaders find that the arts enhance their spiritual life immensely.   • This community was created to help you experience a transformed life with God through your art practice and ministry work through means of community engagement and spiritual practices. This is neither a step-by-step curriculum nor an accountability group, but a supportive space to intentionally craft a compassionate, courageous life rhythm with God and others.

  • The community content is designed to fit into your existing art and faith practices. Of course, you can engage with the community as much or as little as you like! Remember, the more you engage with the community, the more benefit you will receive.

  • You are welcome here! You don’t have to have a formal degree to be a creative leader. Many of us have an eclectic batch of experience and training. Whether you’re a self-taught artist or a pastor with multiple degrees, we’re glad to have you.

  • We truly believe here, “Do as you can, not as you can’t.” Our content is thoughtuflly designed to affirm your identity in the Triune God, affirm the fact that God loves you as you are, and empower you through the Holy Spirit and the membership community to be light and love in the world.

    It’s also helpful to remember that no one is born a master practitioner of art, faith, or self-care. Our spiritual transformation into rest and joy may take us a long time, but any endeavor done in community will reap more beautiful results!

  • Join anytime! There’s no set start date. New content and events are posted regularly. Go to the Welcome section in the Creative and Free Collective, and start engaging with all the wonderful content!

  • The Collective is an ever-growing community space where members engage with one another. They help to both determine the content and contribute. It’s not a step-by-step program. You can join for as long as the membership is helpful to you.

  • If the Collective is not your cup of tea, no hard feelings! You can cancel at any time. Please see our detailed cancellation/refund policy.

  • New content is usually posted three times a week along with the option to interact with other members as much as you like. This is meant to be an active, dynamic community where you help decide what the community focuses on, based on your creative leadership needs.
