Adios, 2023! Well…almost. This week between-holidays has me thinking about what I learned in 2023 and what I loved. I’ve got a list of habits that kept me going, great movies, good books, cool services I love, and art and poetry worth checking out.

But first, here’s what you found interesting.

Lessons I Learned

I’m still learning valuable lessons about self-compassion pacing, even after blogging and writing professionally for over a decade and 20-ish years of ministry work.

  1. It’s better to stop something good you’ve started and prioritize your well-being rather than make yourself and your loved ones miserable.

  2. In terms of creating in general, it’s my job to take care of quantity. It’s God’s job to tend to the quality. (Thank you, Julia Cameron).

  3. Waiting is a grace if I choose to see it as such.
