How peace fits you!

How its ribbon of white

Garnishes your throat.

When you open 

Your mouth, 

Doves alight.

We don’t grasp

This mystery

Within us,

Miracles.

Blink.

Wingbeats,

So soft, so bright

Blind us 

To anything but God.

Prayer

Be peace with us, in us, Oh, Christ.

From our toes to words escaping our lips, and beyond, for miles.
